W4ZV to S21XX 4 February 1997...160M QSO at a bearing of 150 degrees true.  N4SU and W4DR also verified this bearing although stations farther to the northeast were receiving him best at a northeast bearing.  This is not surprising since I've also contacted 9M2AX (nearly identical location to 9V1XQ) and VK9XY on the NE path.  In fact, during the XZ1N operation, it was not unusual to hear the signal via both SSE and NE directions the same day at slightly different times after sunset.
