Wow! I just got my pictures from the November 6 (UTC) aurora show from 0225-0500 UTC. This was my first experience photographing auroras and they turned out better than I imagined! Unfortunately my scanner does not do justice to the actual photos. This was an incredible display at my latitude of 35 degrees North! (All photos using Canon AE-1, 28mm lens at f 2.8, ~15 seconds exposure and Fuji Superia 800). "And God said, Let there be light; and there was light." (Genesis 1:3) The show begins at 0225 UTC at 330 degrees azimuth behind my 180 ft vertical for 160 meters.
Another view 30 minutes later of the same antenna.
Northern horizon from our house...probably the best photo of the evening. "Christ is Born!"
10 meter 3-stack of 6 element Yagis in the foreground...I was so busy outside that I listened only briefly on the radio!
