Comments:

        Amazing conditions...probably the best I've seen on 10 meters
in any contest in any cycle! Unbelievable to see the results from
UA9YAB in Biysk (Western Zone 18), only 400 km from the Mongolian border
...he worked 52 US/VE multipliers! I first worked him at 0125 UTC short
path (and UA0A/Z18 and EX a bit later but no JT). Later, after the direct
path died, he was quite audible via long path after 0300 along with
several big JA stations. In the mornings, before the band fully opened
to Europe, he was very readable after 1100. Several UA0A's (Eastern Zone
18) from the Krasnoyarsk area were also worked from 1200-1300. Six
stations from Zone 26 were logged including 3W, XW and no less than 4
different HS's! This was truly 10 meters at its best!

        A few highlights:

* 395 JA's worked...who says they are declining?
* OH3YI and OH6RX worked ~0120 Friday night...Finnish insomniacs?
* First morning EU worked was G4TSH/P at 1043...location/antennas?
* Max rate 186/hr at 1239 UTC...best 10 minute period 222/hr at 1237 UTC
* An honest Italian sent 599KW but later duped me with 599300. ;-)
* JH1RGG worked very late Sunday AM (1458) via long path (135 degrees)
* No WX QRN...few QRG fights, bad TX signals or CB QRM and nothing broke!
* Mostly dual 2.0 filters in my MP with max shift/width controls.
* 500-8.2 and 2000-455 when very crowded...rarely dual 500's...never 250's
* Many stations cannot zero-beat...some up to 500 Hz off-frequency!
* Not very much S&P until Sunday...missed a bunch I'm sure.
* Thanks to many Topband friends found me on the wrong band. :-)

        Thank you God for the wonderful conditions and so many friends
all over the world to share them with! This is one contest I'll probably
remember the rest of my life...but hopefully there may be a better one
someday. Thanks to all who called and and especially to those that were
so patient with me when I had problems copying...UK8UDX definitely gets
the prize for this!

                                                73,  Bill  W4ZV

P.S. Anyone who thinks CW is dead wasn't listening this weekend!
